  • Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Thinly slice the cabbage.
    • Mince the garlic.
    • Cook and drain the chow mein noodles.
    • Measure out the soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and water.
  • Cook the Cabbage and Garlic:
    • Heat a large pan or wok over high heat and add two tablespoons of oil.
    • Sauté the cabbage for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, stirring frequently.
  • Prepare the Sauce:
    • Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and water to the pan.
    • Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for 1 minute.
  • Combine Noodles and Vegetables:
    • Add the cooked noodles and bean sprouts to the pan.
    • Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  • Serve: Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds if desired, and serve immediately.
